P.LEAGUE+ is a Taiwan-based Professional Basketball League. The entire season was themed around gaming, and the playoffs showcased a captivating computer game concept art style. It was like the front cover of a computer or video game, a sight to behold.
Imagine the basketball players you know and love transformed into powerful gaming characters. With a shiny championship trophy in the background, every team is ready to battle it out in this competitive contest. The question on everyone's mind is, who will emerge victorious? The only way to find out is to press start and witness the action unfold!
Style Reference
In this project, I adopted a concept art style inspired by the popular online shooter game VALORANT. The goal was to transform four unique characters, capturing this genre's fierce intensity and bold design elements. I focused on creating expressive, intense eyes, essential to achieving a powerful and dynamic look. The result balances stylized exaggeration with a hint of realism, maintaining an engaging aesthetic that resonates with the spirit of modern gaming visuals.

Design Process
This piece began with basic shapes, gradually evolving into the final artwork through a structured process. Starting with an elevated angle for the front character, I aimed to enhance the composition’s dynamic energy and depth. In the mid-stage, my colleague incorporated a 3D-rendered trophy seamlessly integrated with the characters. We added captivating glowing effects to enhance the visual appeal, creating a bold and immersive scene. This collaborative workflow combined 2D and 3D elements, adding layers of detail and excitement to the piece.
