Rhythm of Brick Lane - Experimental Film
This project is a deep dive into the lively atmosphere of Brick Lane, celebrated for its vibrant graffiti culture and varied vintage markets. Through field sound recordings and pattern observations, I've been able to capture the essence of this unique locale. My personal engagement with on-site activities, including my first experience with graffiti spraying, has allowed me to form a profound connection with the distinctive ambiance of Brick Lane.

Field Reserch & Observation
I captured a series of close-up shots of graffiti textures on various surfaces, from rock walls to steel doors and bricks, each creating distinct visual patterns and effects and blending observational visuals with rhythmic soundscapes.

Exploration
I experimented with neon crayons on black paper, exploring the possibilities of vibrant color combinations and rhythmic patterns. The contrast of neon against a dark background allowed for dynamic visual interactions to create a bold, energetic aesthetic.

Final Design
I translated initial sketches into Photoshop, where I explored brush effects, color patterns, and motion dynamics. These digital experiments culminated in a short experimental film that captures the vibrant essence of an iconic London location.
